I'm Published!

Hey ladies!

Non-DSK Jewelry related news, my project group and I from Senior year at MSU finally got published into the new International Retailing textbook used by almost everyyy college with a Retailing, Buying or Merchandise Management program!

The cover from last edition, I can't wait to see the new one!

The author was my Professor Sternquist, Ph.D, she's fly. haha & would drink wine during office hours with her favorite students, hahaha. She was probably one of my favorite professors at state. She sent 50% of her time teaching Undergrad classes at MSU and the other 50% of the time teaching master students in Dubai (MSU has a campus in Dubai now)

How did I get published?

My project group and I researched Costco, and wrote a 40 page + case study.
We got a 4.0, and she offered us a chance to get published in her next book!

I'm so going to buy it, and highlight my name, lol jk jk. The damn thing is $150+ brand new. Don't you hate buying books for school? I always tried to buy used books.

But it's not a bad thing to give to my parents, just to show them what's up you know? Asian parents man..lol they were always so hard on me when it came to academics.

MAC Lashes

I dunno why, but I love this 30 second MAC promo!
I've only owned 1 pair of MAC falsies, $13 (AHHH) which I splurged on while I was on vacation in Seattle. There was a wait at our restaurant (Blue C Sushi) and the MAC stores just happened to be across from it (University Village? Near University of Washington). All you Northwest girls know what I'm talkin' about. I had the Makeup Artist put them on for me too (it's free). So yeah.. then I showered with them on like an idiot and ruined them. haha ...then I threw away the case which is even more heart breaking because I learned (from Holly) that I can Back 2 MAC it!!!

Enjoy the video! & I'm also thinking about making a jewelry line in honor of the upcoming MAC collection (it's almost all black) according to my sources (aka Nu).

I think I could definitely pull together a few pieces that I think would define that collection well. I'm thinking Sterling / Swarovski Black Heart Stud Earrings. Oooh, and also a Bumblebee Collection (requested by my friend's lil brother for his gf! How cute, right?)

My Blackberry's battery died for the 3rd time!!!
So Minh sent me a new one (b/c he thought he could get a good deal at Fry's in Portland, no tax)
little did we realize that I could have got it cheaper!!! LOL

It was still nice of him to get it for me ^_^

Well..Minh has this thing for holding onto old socks (with holes!)
He decided to wrap his external hard drive for me in his sock lol

I finally made my first official "fancy department store cosmetic!"
I ordered YSL's #7 Lingerie Pink & a lipgloss from Cargo from Sephora.com

I also got Minh a big men's care sample baggie from Sephora too, yay for Reward Cards!

It's a lot like MAC Angel lipstick, but the formula is superrrrr smooth.
I will post a picture with it on soon. My lips are ugh-and chapped right now :(

I couldn't believe how fast the Japanese stuff I ordered arrived!
I found the seller though Eki's blog, she talked about the Fiberwig Mascara and total sold me!

I also bought an eyelash serum, I've tried it once already and I will keep you update if I notice any changes :)

I also picked up the Tattoo Eyeliner because KT said it's good. lol
I'm so easily influenced!

The only reason I bought this Cargo lipgloss was to reach $50 to get free shipping from Sephora..hahhaha I did the same thing on the Japanese Beauty product site!!!

The color does not look like the picture on Sephora.com!!!
But it's ok, it probably will still look pretty.
I haven't opened it yet, becuase I'm saving it for when my lips are lipgloss ready.

I had did buy a whole bunch of make from Msfili, I just haven't had the time to put it all together and take a picture!

I think I now own 15 eyeliners from her! Chanel, Dior, MAC
I love themmmmm

Misfili's blog sales are the best! And they're all on youtube, so it's very QVC ; )

I also got a beautiful box from Rina! That's my next post ^_~

MAC Phloof! is my all time favorite MAC e/s, I did this look with my Holiday Palette from 07, it had Phloof! in it :D And a nice darker teal, I don't have the name off the top of my head. Sowrries.

I got lucky, I inherited my mommy's lashes, we both have a lot of lower lashes!
Her lashes are longer than mine, but mine are a bit fuller (maybe b/c I'm younger?)
I'll have to post a picture of my lower lashes with mascara on, all the makeup artist who've done my makeup are always shocked b/c they didn't expect to see long lashes on an Asian!

I think they assume we don't have lashes or something!

I definitely recommend Phloof! everyone go get this eyeshadow if you don't already have it ; )

Yes to Cucumber

I'm still suffering from eczema, and with this weather, it just sucks! I've been shying away from pictures and videos because of my stupid ecezma!! : (

I stopped by Walgreens to pick up a Redbox movie, and found out that they now carry to Yes to Cucumber and Yes to Carrot products! I had bought two of my blogger babes Chom Chom & Sarah of Moto Jewelry the travel set (shampoo, conditioner, and lotion?) from Target (let me know how you like those!)

I picked up the Cucumber & Aloe Body Gel ($9.99), and I am very impressed with this product! It just soothes and calms my skin from irritation in this humid weather.

The Yes to Carrot chapstick ($3.99?), not so much (Aquafina is better!) I have a few left on my blog sale, www.dskblogsale.blogspot.com (if you can't find Aquafina in your hometown).

I'm dead serious about this product! It's the best chapstick of my life!!! It's a definite try to believe product!

A Day in the Life of DSK Steph & DSK Loves Holly!!

FREEDOM is not always a good thing..especially if you set your own standards of productivity.

I have had a lot of freedom since I graduated from college.. I feel a lil lazy, and now you will see why...I'm not happy with my productivity level! I need something more..I hate wasting time!!

I'm definitely not the sit and flip through TV channels kind of person..and I don't want to become a couch potatoe..i.e. like Minh! haha jk..but only sometimes..I'd rather be chatting online, lol




My Current Daily:

10:30-11AM Wake Up

12:30-1PM Wait for the mail to arrive

1-1:30PM Drive about 5 minutes to my "Santa's Workshop"

1:30-4:30PM Make Jewelry, Answer E-mails, Chat with my daily AIM buddies

4:30-5PM Drive over to the Post Office, chit chat with the ladies there

5:30-6:30 Dinner (out or at home)

7PM Rollerblade (not really a daily thing but I try to get out on the trail)

8PM-2AM Free Time!
