Nonners (Whit) or Whitney is starting to fall in love with Youtube, haha she made her 3rd video already! (and against her bf's will). I love the fact that she's making videos anyways because she wants to. lol I'm glad she's vlogging because it's a great way for us to stay connected. We live about 3,000 miles apart, a little more when she's in West Palm Beach, Florida (that snob!). Her neighbors include Donald Trump and alligators.

Anyhow, check out Whitney's latest, I sent her some earrings for Christmas (mostly gemstones cause I know she's an earring addict). I need to step up the game with earrings cause she's my #1 critic!

I found some pics of her cottage in Holland, I told you she owns a beach! I guess she has a lot of ICE CUBES during the winter time.

Finished!

I finished Skinny Bitch tonight, and I have to say...I don't want to eat meat. lol
It's equivalent to watching a Peta video on youtube!

Overall, I learned that we consume a lot of foods that we don't fully understand. haha
I come to realize that I never think of where my meat comes from...or how animals are raised for the sole purpose of being eaten. It's sad to think about these poor animals getting slaughtered. They talked about how most animals sense fear when they know another of their kind is being harmed, or ..murdered. They get scared just like we do. It's makes me want to cry reading the meat chapter. =/

I don't want to get too much into it...but did you know that eating fast makes you fart more?! haha cause you swallow a lot air when you eat fast. (or so they say).

But yeah...

My most memorable fact I learned is that fruit is the best breakfast food. Fruit should be eaten alone, and given 10 minutes to digest before eating something else (such as another piece of fruit). Did you know that? They say that way, you benefit the most from the fruit.

Anyhow, I've been craving fresh squeezed orange juice. (I feel a cold coming on) :/
Jamba Juice is so conveniently located a few miles from my house :) Growing up in Michigan..the closest Jamba Juice was in Chicago, Illinois! Can you believe that?





I don't mind paying $3-$4 for 12oz of fresh orange juice. : ) It sure is a lot cheaper than buying my own oranges and struggling to juice them! Sticky mess, no no!

So yeah...I bought myself a bag of organic apples from Safeway tonight. LOL, Minh got home around 8pm and we decided to go grocery shopping for food. :)

$3.99 for a bag of 8 organic apples.. not too bad.

For some reason, I feel like I read something negative about eating organic fruits. sighh

This world is full of controversy! But I know that I'm going to eat more veggies and fruits, and cut back on red meat!

**UPDATE!** Last night, I read through the first 100 pages of about 200 pages, and the book was far different from what I thought! It's an informative read, but with a lot of swearing haha I'm enjoying it though. I think the authors are a bit hard core into (being Vegan), but I understand where they're coming from. Reading the first 100 pages really makes me wanna give up eating Beef, Pork, and Chicken! (They call them decomposing dead bodies!). If you have a weak heart, or a weak stomach, I don't sugggest you read it...maybe find less "imagery provoking" book. I was in disguist pretty much through the "Meat" chapter =/

The way they described how cows are milked is really sad too...they use machines on the most sensitive parts of the cow...sometimes they even get infections when they're over milked...and the machine keeps at it =/ It's sad.

But yeah....I'm definitely hitting up WHOLE FOODS today! lol
I need to buy some bread for Minh anyways for work. I might as well go read some labels on the foods the book suggested : )

I hope that helps anyone who was curious about the book. I suggest you read it at the library or book store, because it's really short (not worth the $15..or in my case $30 for both Skinny Bitch & Skinny Bitch in the Kitch).

Minh & I have been visiting Borders & Barnes & Nobles a lot lately. I figured I start off with Skinny Bitch! haha, I can't wait to read what the two Skinny Bitch authors have to teach me!

I did a lot of reading in college, especially at my job as a Research Assistant for the Arts & Literature department. It was mostly academic reads --complicated, but very thoughtful.

I picked up a few business books, and SKINNY BITCH lol
I think I may start visiting the library more, or just going to chill at Barnes & Nobles a few days a week to read some of the books I'm interested in (but don't want to buy!).

My little sister dreams of having a library one day in her house...and me? lol I dream of having a big bathroom & closet so I can fill with clothes, shoes and makeup!

Speaking of my little sister Julia, she had an interview with Harvard last Monday, and they like her and hope to see her at Harvard next fall! : ) Go lil sis! But she wants to go to Stanford. (b/c it's on the West Coast) haha

I root for Harvard because it's not everyday you get a chance to go to Harvard! Am I right?
Plus, I just wanna wear a Harvard Sister Sweatshirt! (if they even make those!)

All-in-all, the key to success is reading.

I loveeeee her jacket! I did some research and it looks like Kim & Kourtney Kardashian are going to be designing a line for Bebe. I can't wait to see what they come up with!

The jacket she is wear is from Bebe (I read her tweet on Twitter), I went to the Bebe at South Center to check it out in RL (Real Life), and it is really gorgeous. I adore the tweed! How Coco Chanel, right??? But more edgy!

For some reason, you can't find it online, but it's available in Bebe stores. I personally never really shopped at Bebe. I think I own 1 thing from them and I forgot what it was. My mom likes Bebe, hahahaha the freaking Vietnamese lady would right? I think seeing a lot of Viets & OLDER WOMEN wearing Bebe kind of turned me off too. I am Viet-American, and I figured I'd not conform. haha Well, old Viet ladies who do nails wearing Bebe (form fitting t-shirts with rhinestone "Bebe" on the boob area you know which shirt I'm talking about) REALLY ruined the brand for me. lol

I used to know this lady who could not fit into Bebe clothes (aka her boobs were super huge), wear Bebe...it was not a pretty sight. I was in 8th or 9th grade. Every since then ~ I've had a bad image in my head : (

Seriously, if you google, "asians wearing bebe" things like this pop up.....there's a lot of forums & threads, it's kind of entertaining to read.

For example, somone said:

" I decided to check out the Viet forums for a bit and saw some fugly chick wearing a Bebe shirt. I never got around to inquiring about this, but I've seen them a lot the past several years. I didn't really care until my TA wore a shirt. I'm too lazy to research it, but where and what is this brand? I've only seen Asian girls wear them."

But I like Kim's Bebe jacket. & everything else they have that's not the spandex-y t-shirts w/ rhinestones!

I'm having a lot of body image issues! I cannot drop the 40lbs that I've gained since my junior year in college. I was comfortable with myself when I was 18 and 19. At 21 and now 22, I'm not loving me.

Stupid relationship. lol Minh says I feel really secure & comfortable in our relationship, and you all know what that means! (LBs, LBs, LBs) FREAKINGS ELLLLLL BEEEEE'zzzzzzzz

Minh & I are going on 2 years officially this January 1st. We've known each other for almost 3 years. 0_0 time flies. It's so sad! I don't want to get old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
