November Haul!

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic holiday weekend. Minh and I had a relaxing long weekend house, dog sitting for his parents and sister in Vancouver, Washington near Portland, Oregon. We spent a lot of time at his parents house cleaning the kitchen. The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser does wonders when it comes to cleaning! We scrubbed the sink, the counters, and the cabinets. Minh describes his Mom as a pack rat hoarder so she has a lot of various dishes, silverware in the kitchen taking up space. We hid her older mix match silverware and chopsticks and replaced them with a new matching set. It was so hard to find the perfect set of silverware! We went to so many different stores, but finally found the set we liked on the last day we were there. : )

And..that's what we did this Thanksgiving weekend. lol We spent it together with 5 dogs while everyone else went on vacation to Denver, Colorado (where Minh was born). Haha
We would have gone, but Minh had work related obligations. I didn't mind the long weekend together though. It was really fun, quiet, and relaxing being away from the city.

Anyhow, this past month I've hoarded a good amount of lip products.
I just couldn't help myself! I've been pretty good at saving these past few months.
These lippies were a reward to myself this winter. ::smiley face::

I'm really loving the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters. They remind me of Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lippies. They're very glossy and remind me a lot of a great moisturizing lip balm. I love the colors too, however they don't last that long. My favorite lip butter shade is Cotton Candy. I picked up Lollipop too (not pictured). :D

I'm also trying a new makeup primer.

Reviva Labs Makeup Primer to be exact. I read great things by several beauty bloggers so far.
I'll let you know how it works in a few weeks. I like it so far, it reminds me of Smashbox Photofinish primer, but more light, airy feeling.

I absolutely love both! I used my 20% off VIB coupon at Sephora to get these beauties.

Sephora Jewel Tone Ribbon Hair Ties. I've heard good things about these! They can double as colorful bracelets. : )

I also picked up the rubbery Goody hair ties (from the drugstore)..and OMG they pull hair like no other. It was so painful!
For some reason, I thought they would be no tug, but they're incredibly horrible. I'm disappointed in you Goody. SMH. lol

Revlon really stepped it u with the packaging for this collection! Now if they would only update and modernize those nail polish bottles!

I didn't go crazy over the new (probably not so new anymore) MAC Ice & Glitter collection. I picked up two lipstick because I REALLY like the packaging. It looks pretty in my makeup collection. Ditto!

I'm one of those people who feel like they look extremely awkward in a red or dark lip color.
I try so hard to find a dark red that I like, but it's so hard since I'm so used to my nudes, pinks, and corals. I'm stuck in a rut but making the effort to get out of it by adding these two into my collection. : )
