Hey ladies!
Non-DSK Jewelry related news, my project group and I from Senior year at MSU finally got published into the new International Retailing textbook used by almost everyyy college with a Retailing, Buying or Merchandise Management program!
The author was my Professor Sternquist, Ph.D, she's fly. haha & would drink wine during office hours with her favorite students, hahaha. She was probably one of my favorite professors at state. She sent 50% of her time teaching Undergrad classes at MSU and the other 50% of the time teaching master students in Dubai (MSU has a campus in Dubai now)
How did I get published?
My project group and I researched Costco, and wrote a 40 page + case study.
We got a 4.0, and she offered us a chance to get published in her next book!
I'm so going to buy it, and highlight my name, lol jk jk. The damn thing is $150+ brand new. Don't you hate buying books for school? I always tried to buy used books.
But it's not a bad thing to give to my parents, just to show them what's up you know? Asian parents man..lol they were always so hard on me when it came to academics.

ReplyDeletealso you have a cool professor. back in college i had one who would drink beer and hangout at the local student bar and that was his after school hours lol. So kids would chill with him and talk about the class and questions they have.

ReplyDeleteYea, asian parents are always hard on academics.
Now that's an ACHIEVEMENT!! CONGRATS! You and your group must have worked very hard to get the 4.0!! And you must have been very creative, to have it published!!! Whooo.....
ReplyDeleteWow that's awesome! You must show us when you buy the book, but omg, that's pretty expensive.
ReplyDeleteI hate buying books for school. Especially when publishers keep coming out with new editions and instructors get picky with making sure you have the newest book so you can't get a used one. -__- & being a nursing major, those science books are SO expensive!
CONGRATULATIONS!! That is a huge thing!!! Yay for being in a book!!! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah I hate buying school books! they are so expensive!! I try to borrow or buy them half price then sell them much more than what I paid for. lol jk jk! :P
I just got my necklace today!! I love it it's soo cute!! Thanks so much Steph :D
ReplyDeleteCongrats girl!
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely get the book and show your parents.... I know I would!
hiii girly! it's been a while since i last commented you. how has it been? i see the new pearls...they're really pretty. i am limited as to what jewelry i can wear now because of my lil' man, he tugs and pulls :( but yeah, i hope you're doing good. <3
ReplyDeleteSteph thats so cool. To be honest, if that were me, I think I'd spend the $150 for the book, just to brag to everyone. haha. Perhaps even take the class again and be like "hey look at that, that's me...ME!" :) Anyway, congratulations, what an accomplishment!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! ;)
