Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit in Warm Beige

Here is another item I have been wanting for a few months and finally got!

It's the semi-famous Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer : )
I was pretty sold after my friend Whitney (Nonners) bought it and said it was LEGIT.
p.s. She just got engaged! <---TAKEN

I like it when my friends buy things I want and try it first. It really is a great way to save money and hassle haha ;D

This is also another item in my 20% off Sephora haul.
I've decided I wanted to split up my blog posts focusing on each item just so the item feels more appreciated. :)
Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit in Warm Beige
Available at Sephora
I really enjoyed the 20% off. Thanks Sephora VIB Sale!
I normally use concealer to cover blemishes and redness on my face. *I also use it to cover a broken blood vessel on my neck (Ugh! I hate it). It's just this tiny red dot in the middle of my lower neck area. I have no idea how it happened and it makes me sad : (
I will share one day, but I do use concealer to cover up that imperfection.

I also like to brighten up my under eyes with concealer so I look more lively and alert. lol
(I swear concealer is the best highlighter for photos..something in concealer just stands out in photos).
What's extra unique about this concealer is that it comes with a blot powder!
I watched a Bobbi Brown interview and she was very proud of this product. She wants her consumers to know that concealer should be topped off with a dusting of powder to set the makeup.

Setting makeup IMO (in my opinion) is a very important part of "the" routine. If you don't set your makeup with a powder to "absorb" the moisture from the products you've used (foundation, concealer)..you risk the chance of your face meltinggggg (whenever I think of melting..I think of the Wicked Witch from the Wizard of OZ yell.."ahhhhh I'm meltinggggg!") through out the day or rubbing off. Lets all avoid the melting makeup, and set of foundation and concealer ^_^V

All in all, I give this concealer two thumbs up! It's creamy (on the dryer side of creamy). I'm glad it's not extreme creamy like my Amazing Concealer (way to "liquidy"..but does the job). The coverage of both concealers is high. I like it like that..(really want to insert rap lyrics here, but will refrain).

This Bobbi Brown concealer is less messy and easy to use. I use clean fingers to apply my concealer. I would use a concealer brush, but I cannot stand to wash or spot clean it after each use..and if you forget to clean it asap..you're just left with lots of product that's dried up and extremely annoy borderline hard to get off your brush.

Shout out to my friend Danielle, I'm so glad you purchase your first concealer!
My friend Danielle is a 3L (3rd year law student)..and she studies a lot..A LOT.
She used to drive me nuts when she'd talk about (dark circles) how her eyes never look like so and so's under eyes..(it's obviously b/c you're not using concealer and they are!) lol
No more doubling your foundation as concealer! You will notice a brighter difference girl friend. Sometimes it takes a lot time to talk your friends into trying new things..but the gratification you feel when they take your advice is GOLDEN.

And just for fun because I'm feeling artsy,

  1. Ive been wanting to try this concealer for sometime now! But it's kinda pricy for a concealer...i guess with the powder is alright! That will be in my to buy list!

  4. the packaging for all bobbi brown products all seem to be so nice! the concealer kits come in other shades too right? I've never tried any concealer except the twist up pencils but seems to me from your explanations, i'm pretty curious to see how this turns out. hehehe :D

  5. Steph, have you tried the Laura Mercier undercover pot concealer and if you have, can you compare it to this Bobbi Brown one? It looks very similar with the Laura Mercier one having two shades of concealer on the top.

  6. haha! Melting like wicked witch :P omg i am in search for perfect concealer but MAC? bobbi brown concealer sounds too true to buy right now. luckily i dont have dark circles for now :P

  7. OOh I am looking for a new concealer-- this just may be the one!
I noticed one of your HG items is the MUFE HD Foundation-- what is your concealer/foundation routine?
I am definitely getting the MUFE HD Foundation, and thinking about getting a Chanel powder. But I am looking for suggestions! haha I also don't know what brush I should get for the MUFE Foundation, which do you use!?

I love the idea of this product (powder for concealer)- I def. may be checking it out!!

  8. I love nice, luxe concealers :) The shape of it reminds me of Laura Mercier's concealers. Have you seen the kit at Sephora? I have a friend who is using it and didn't really like it so much because it cost her $65 and it was small :p

The whole packaging of the BB concealer looks super nice! :) I'm curious how it'll work on you :D
I've never tried Amazing Cosmetics but I tested the concealer out at Ulta... it's reallyyyy heavy! I love it too! But I remember it being on the pricier side :p

  9. Replying your comment in your NARS post:
omg a white desk? The photos really do look amazing. Definitely lightbox quality. That's cool! Now I just need a white desk or surface to take product pics on... LOL :( My desks at home are brown or black..

    Replying this post:
I already congratulated Nonners on her post. You must be so excited for your friend! I'm happy for her! :D

Separating your haul post is a great idea. It's also easier for your readers to search for the product if they ever need to. : )

The BB concealer looks so smooth. I hate using "fresh makeup" 'cause it never looks as nice after the first use. LOL I have the Sephora discount and I plan on going tomorrow. I've always wanted to try the Amazing Concealer out because of the reviews. A few bucks more for Bobbi Brown one doesn't seem too bad.

  10. heck yeah bobbi brown concealer! my undereye circles are so dark sometimes that i use 2 concealers, but i always use the BB on top!

    ReplyDelete
  11. @SharBEAR they come in a full range of colors! Almost too many to pick from lol. I'm curious and want to try some other shades in the future :)

    ReplyDelete
  12. @Amanda I haven't tried the LM concealer, I almost bought it last year, but I felt like the two shades didn't go well with my skintone :/

    ReplyDelete
  13. @KIMB! MAC Studio Sculpt concealer is awesome too. I actually love MAC concealers, I just wanted to try something different. Benefit has a good one as well :) So many options!

    ReplyDelete
  14. @Pearls & Politics I like using the MAC 188 "skunk" brush for concealer. Also called the "stippling" brush.

I usually do concealer, then foundation with a brush..and then with any kabuki brush I dust HD Mat Duo on top or whichever powder I have on hand :)

I have many many kabuki brushes so I rotate them (so I don't have to wait for them to dry after cleaning) haha

  15. Now I really need to make a pit stop to Sephora. Sounds like MAC's concealer. It's what I currently use and am liking it. But it doesn't have the blotting powder. I gotta set the concealer with my BB powder which I do like since it's SPF50. I like the fact that BB's concealer is 'all-in-one'. It's time to go get one.

It'll definitely come in handy since I have biiig bags and dark circles. My little monkey keeps me busy all day AND night.

  16. "...I'm melting... I'm melting..." hahah. You're too funny.
I actually have a BB concealer palette that I bought from a CCO, but have yet to use it. I have to finish my Shu one first, plus it is so hard to touch a palette that looks so nice when it's new! I'm just a hoarder...

  17. Your giving such a good review on this bobbi brown concealer that makes me wanna go out and buy one for myself. My skin doesn't have bags under my eyes though, I usually look bright everyday. Heheh. But its great to hear from your experience os using it and your lovin' it. :) Next product please? Heheh, you do a great job reviewing products no wonder each post gets its on little thing. :D

  18. i love trying new concealers, im always looking for better ones :D

  19. Steph, you always buy the best.
haha, I sware getting on here is just adding to my "I need to buy ASAP" list.

  20. Yes! This is definitely 'legit'. I ordered like 3 of them (one for myself, my bestie, and another of my bestie). Lmao at your comment about the Wicket Witch from W.o.Oz, I always thought of that when people said their make up were melting too. Funny thing was, when I first started wearing makeup asked a MAC makeup artist for tips to keep my face from melting off (LOL..she gave me the most "wtf" look ever). I guess I should've worded it better. Anyways, her answer was BS--cuz she didn't care about a scrawny asian kid asking her stupid things. Lol

  21. I have the same concealer. I find it a bit too creamy for my skin though. Even if I set it with the powder it comes with, my concealer still melts off. Or if I wear mascara, everytime I blink, the mascara would transfer to my undereye making my raccoon eyes more apparent. *disappointed*. But I got it for $9 a few years ago. I knew a makeup artist who worked for Bobbi Brown and her house was Bobbi Brown cosmetics heaven, she gave me all the products I wanted for like 80% off. :D

    ReplyDelete
  22. That looks nice Ive been wanting a Bobbi Brown cream eyeliner but Im not the type of person that wears eyeliner so it would be a waste to buy one and never use it and I always feel and think I look weird.

    ReplyDelete
  23. @Gabbiieb I have the Black Ink by BB and it's really good! But I don't find myself making the extra effort to bust out my angled eyeliner brush everyday to use it. I like pencils b/c they're super fast. It is worth the money if you're interested in it. They last forever! And do not dry out. I've had a Sepia (brown) one for a while and it stayed nice :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. ah... i'm one of those ppl that don't use concealer/doubles my foundation as concealer :X

i guess i'll use my $15 off at sephora on this! :D i also like it when other ppl try products first so i dont waste my time returning stuff. thanks for the review!

    ReplyDelete
  25. @reggi I still need to use my Sephora coupon! I have no idea what to purchase!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I've always wanted to try Bobbi Brown's concealer, but I didn't know if it was really worth it. After reading this, I definitely have to give it a try!

    Thanks Steph!

    ReplyDelete
  27. haha i saw that picture as your twitter default and really liked it! how did you get it like that? loving the colors.

and i see you haven't tried Laura Mercier's concealer =( lol i was going to ask you to compare the two! i got it as a gift once and i thought it was "eh". the product was so dry and hard to grab. the fact that you said BB was creamy enough definitely makes me want to check it out! i've been dying to try some BB items ever since Sephora started selling them..!!

have you tried BB's liquid foundation? I got it as a sample and i loveddddd it. its a little on the greasier side but after i set it with powder (nars) its totally fine and lasts all day! it also has SPF =) =)

    ReplyDelete
  28. You should try Bobbi Brown Corrector too!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. yes i LOVE the la mer lip conditioner. i've been using it for a few years and it always works really well for me. sorry to hear it didn't work for u. =(

    ReplyDelete
  30. I got this as well during the Sephora F&F sale along with their corrector. I love it!! I have the LM secret camouflage but I prefer to use the BB one under my eye area, its so creamy

    ReplyDelete
  31. I used to double my foundation as a concealer under my eyes - HELLO CAKEFEST! Ugh. But I've wisened up since then and I've found my HG concealer - YSL Anticernes Concealer. It's so great and fits my skintone perfectly. I just wish it would last a bit longer, I go through a tube in a month!

I wish my friends were more into makeup - most of them hardly ever wear any! So I have to read reviews and just go out and buy new things to see if they actually work or suit me.

It's so clever of BB to pair the concealer with setting powder! So many people don't know that you have to do it in order for it to actually stay on, haha.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I've never tried BB concealers before. I heard from one of my favorite YT gurus that her concealers are good, but not as good as her correctors. Have you tried that before?

I currently use MAC studio finish concealer for my under eye circles. I have very very bad dark circles, and nothing covers it!! Maybe i need to try the BB one. I love setting my under eye concealer using the Benefit Powderflage. Would you say the BB blot powder that comes with the concealer better than the Benefit Powderflage? If so, i need to try this product asap!

    ReplyDelete
  33. It's so sad BUT, I didn't know Bobbi Brown was a woman lol. Don't hurt me! But I love concealer. I don't use foundation.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Thanks for the review!

I have terrible under eye circles and I still haven't found something that covers it up nicely. I really like the blot powder concept of this concealer kit. Powder is a mjor must, otherwise, what's the point of applying makeup?

And say congratulations to Nonners for me!!!

  39. i have been on the fence about this product for a while, because sometimes duos with powder and product give you good quantity but skip on quality, and i was a little scared. :) please do more reviews soon, i love them!!!! you have great reviews, and always review products im on the fence about, it seems like lol... :) i will be pickign this up soon!

  40. great review!! i have never heard of this product, but now i will definitely have to find it, because it looks and sounds amazing!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. i wanted to try this after leinababy's video. i never used a cream concealer only mmu ones and i just don't think those work good lol
but i heard the powder is messy and i'm such a klutz i feel like imma spill the whole thing

do you use your concealer before or after foundation?
it's just so hard to find a right color and one that matches your foundation. some ppl get like a lighter one, do you too?

  42. ah i love this post i use the concealer daily (and in the same shade :) ) !!

  43. I totally agree about concealer brightening up your face. I do it everyday because it just makes your face so much fresher and alert! Ha ha I will have to try this concealer, I am definitely open to it. I have been using the same one for a little while, I need a switch!! :)

  44. i love bobbi brown! i have got to go to sephora and try this concealer. my under-eye circles have gotten so bad lately. that tiny red dot can be fixed by a dermatologist :). all he/she would do is shave off the skin and seal up the capillary with an electrocoagulation. the dermatologist i work for does it for people all the time. oh and it doesn't hurt since they give you a shot of novocaine.

    ReplyDelete
  45. @susan THANK YOU for the tip! I had no idea that could be fixed! I'll definitely look into it :) I've been so bummed out these past few months. That's why you rarely see me show off a necklace b/c the spot on my neck is so unattractive.

Thank you thank you! I appreciate it so much!

    ReplyDelete
  46. @xxtiney I've always concealered before my foundation..and yes! I do buy shades lighter just so it doesn't look like a dark patch when I apply my foundation lol

    ReplyDelete
  47. @Anita I'm pretty much on a makeup no buy now..I don't need anything new at the moment!

    ReplyDelete
  48. @GJee I use the Bobbi Brown foundation w/ SPF! I like it, but it is $42? On the pricey side..but I wanted to try it. It's great for skin with blemishes (it really helped not irritate my skin when I had imperfect skin)

    ReplyDelete
  49. I usually use a MAC concealer because of my dark circles. And then I apply the loose powders Benefit, to prevent moving the corrector.

but the Bobbi Brown concealer also looks great

    ReplyDelete
  50. Steph!! OMG! Is that a Balenciaga I see in the background of your picture!!! I'm actually squealing with joy. Balenciaga is one of my favorite designers that I absolutely love staring at and admiring.... Judging from the picture, it looks like it may be a Balenciaga first, or a city? hmmm. :dying with curiosity: xoxo

  51. I rarely use make-up but maybe I'll give it a try. I hear they're really pricey but it looks like its worth a shot!

  55. Great review. I want to go out and get this concealer now...

    ReplyDelete
  56. yay you use BB foundation too!? and its $45! not $42, messed up right? lol Nars is $42. BB just had to be like, "oh lets be special and add $3 more dollars harhar ppl will buy it anyways bc its so good harhar". i trust your recommendations since you've tried like every product (lol) so what foundations do you recommend that are cheaper? i agree that $45 is ridiculous and i'd like to use foundation one day that isn't coming from a sample jar.. haha i've always wanted to try MAC but so many of my friends have broke out from MAC liquid foundations. and also, the MAC workers here are sort of bitches =\

dude tell us about your skin routine! i forgot to ask about it but you have super smooth skin.

and LOL at "Prada Bag for Christmas please! k thx bye Minh!"

  57. @Gjee

I just started using the Clarisonic :D It's definitely improved my skin :) I've been using an Aloe Vera face wash (cleanser) from the body shop with the matching toner. It's been working out nicely for me.

In terms of more affordable foundation, I really like Revlon Photo Ready. It's really nice, but I wish they had more options in terms of shade.

I'm not a big fan of MAC foundations anymore..I have broken out. But their Studio Fix Powder is really amazing for flawless looking skin (even though it clogged my pores!) I have larger pores now because of MAC foundation (I'm pretty sure..since it's only be 1-2 years since I've branched out and used other cosmetics brands).

I hope you have a great rest of your weekend! Hope I answered some of your questions.

    AND UPDATE YOUR BLOG!!!

  59. I have been so bad at replying to my blog comments! :l
But I actually go and get my nails near my hometown about 20 miles North of Seattle- if you ever want to travel up North and try it is called Serenity nails and spa-- I really like them! I actually just tried a place for a manicure in Seattle called Jolie nails & spa. They were super sweet but my polish is already starting to chip! I know what you mean about being on the hunt for just the right place!

Also, I am thinking about getting the either the CHANEL POUDRE UNIVERSELLE COMPACT NATURAL FINISH PRESSED POWDER (the one that doesn't really give a color) or CHANEL DOUBLE PERFECTION COMPACT NATURAL MATTE POWDER MAKEUP SPF 10
(I just don't know if this one will make me too "cakey" after a concealer AND liquid foundation.

Have you tried either of these ones!? What do you think!? I was also considering the HD translucent powder from MUFE--how do you like that one!?

    ReplyDelete
  60. I'm looking for a great concealer for dark circle. Have been trying Mufe lift concealer,Lancome photogenic concealer but it still can't cover :(
Till now I'm still looking for HG concealer.Do you think that BB is a perfect cover?

    ReplyDelete
  61. @Noniek I would suggest Amazing Concealer if you're loooking for great coverage. This BB is good, but not as high in coverage as the Amazing Concealer. You should try both and see which you like more :)

    ReplyDelete
  62. I got the clarisonic too. My brother wanted one for the longest time and so I entered several contests and won one for him. We have to share it (sad face) but we have our own brush head. I love it. My skin is so smooth!

    ReplyDelete
  63. I love all of this concealer and skin talk. I want amazing, smooth skin. I think I'll have to use my Clarisonic more often, too! I should use it tonight. :)

    ReplyDelete
  64. I've heard a ton of great things about this concealer, but somehow...I'm afraid, lol. Somehow I always manage to get the wrong color for my skin tone.

  65. i totally agree setting MU is VIP!!! i really wanna try that concealer now i didnt know it had setting powder!

    ReplyDelete
  66. I wanna try out that Bobbi Brown concealer! I have major dark circles, so I need a good concealer that's going to cover up really well and not cake up around my eyes! I'm going after x-mas to Sephora and going to test out some concealers and see what works best!

    ReplyDelete
  67. I really like this concealer I like the consistency and color I'm very yellow under toned and it matches my complexion well I also like that is comes with a setting powder although sometimes i think the powder makes my under eyes look too cakey.
