OPI "Jade is the New Black" and Hello Kitty Polish

Happy Belated Valentine's Day!

I'm glad to have my significant other back in the USA. ^_^
He got so tan and lost some weight while in Vietnam! He looks healthier even though he got sick with a fever right off the plane (most likely super tired from jet lag). He's much better now.

I went to South Center area's Target before I picked up Minh from Seatac Airport (SEA for all my friends who are booking tickets out to see me!). I picked up an OPI Nail Polish in "Jade is the New Black." I know I'm way behind on the Hong Kong collection, but I still wanted this one polish in particular because of the name! Asian women just have a "fashionable" connection with jade. You either wear jade or have female figure in your life that wears jade. :D Most women have a connection with the color black as well! I just thought the title was genius.

I am having two of my closest friends visiting me next month!
They'll be here the first week of March and they're coming from NYC. ^_^
Minh and I are excited to see them again. We haven't seen them since last March when we visited New York.

Hello Kitty Nail polishes!
I picked up Purple Sprinkles (purple glitter), Blueberry (pastel baby blue), and Pink Sprinkles (pink glitter).
The bottles are so cute! I'm glad I gave in and decided to pick up a few bottles.

I also picked up the Fresh Sugar scrub lip treatment in the full size.
I had a sample of this and I really liked it :) They do come in two other shades.
I don't really enjoy tinted lip balms so I skipped on the Rose & Plum and opted for the Original.

Minh and I drove around the Queen Anne area of Seattle, it's famous for the views from the hills. You see mostly all of Downtown Seattle, and the Eliot Bay. It's only minutes from downtown by car which we really liked. We were recommended by a friend to take a look around Queen Anne.

You can see Mt. Rainier in the background too. I bet it's really nice during the summer months.

There are a lot of great properties up there, but just not for us...the hills would drive us mad! I can't stand driving up and down hills. Minh and I have narrowed down the areas where we want to settle down and we plan to move back to Bellevue (across Lake Washington from Seattle).
We're pretty happy living in Seattle, but it's always nice to think for the future.
I've been reading some personal finance books and they're really helping me not spend my extra fun money.
I still like to buy makeup, and nail polish, but I've really calmed down with other purchases.

Instead of shopping and online shopping.. I spend the time reading "self-help" books. lol

  7. That color looks great! I wonder if I can pull it off? (= those Hello Kitty nail polish are so cute, I should drop by Target and look for them. My coworker loves HK, everything! That'll def. make her day!

I'm glad to hear that Minh is feeling better. I think my brother and my cousin both got really sick, fatigue and jet lagged, when they came back from VN. They had fevers and lost their voice!

I love the landscape view, was that from your camera? It's beautiful!

  10. Jade is the new black is my favorite green polish. it's such a pretty shade.

We love Queen Anne! There's a lot of great restaurants up there especially upper Queen Anne, try out Via Tribunali, 5 Spot, Pasta Bella, Crow, How to Cook a Wolf, probably some more that I can't think of right now but we eat out a lot in QA! It is super hilly there but I don't mind it! I love the houses there, they all have such great character.

I grew up in Bellevue and loved it. Right now though, I just have no desire to move back to the suburbs but I definitely understand the appeal of living in Bellevue. I have a few friends that live in The Bravern and they love it! Have you thought about moving there?

Oh and to answer your comment, we used to go to O'Asian all the time, especially when it first opened. It's the same owners as the Top Gun in Bellevue so that's why the dim sum is good there! I like that they have free parking on the weekends and it's never too too crowded.

  12. You make me want to move to Seattle, Stephy!! The last time I was there, I stayed in the Queen Anne area. The hills are pretty crazy.. similar to SF hills, but much cleaner!! :) There is this little restaurant that's REALLY famous... I forget what it's called, I think 5 Points or Point 5.. I walked up from my hotel there and had breakfast. It's one of those diners things :p

I enjoy self help books too!!!! And online shopping :D
