A Weird Kind of Day

Today has been a weird ass day. I didn't sleep until 12:30pm earlier today. I spent all night awake making bracelets because I just couldn't sleep! I also experimented with makeup. I spent about 1 hour watching random Japanese "Doll Eyes" tutorials (haha an before and after circle lenses videos-I'm weird, but it's fascinating!).

Everyone makes Doll Eyes look so easy..lol I fail to make it look normal. I definitely cannot pull of this look in daily life. (I totally edited the picture too) I also used liquid eye liner for my lower lash line, which is really harsh looking in RL (real life). Basically...I think I forgot how to do makeup ever since I started being a hobo, and not wearing any..

Anyhow..the weird day part. I ended up passing out around noon today. I wake up from sounds of super loud footsteps literally on the house. I was like wtf. I woke up called Minh..the foot steps felt like it was getting closer to me (my room is on the 2nd floor). I jump up and look out the window and I see the hood of a green truck with the door ajar. I freak out. Hide in my bathroom..CRY talking to Minh about how freaked out I was, so he told me to call 911. I called 911 explained what's going on..they sent out a cop car and kept me on the phone with the dispatcher. I was talking to her about how our neighborhood is pretty nice, I dunno what is going on. I was so pissed at Minh because this is literally my first few days at home alone.

Basically, when the cops got there the truck had left. Creepy right? The two cops were really nice, they walked the perimeter of the house, then came to my front door. At the time the dispatcher on the phone told me it was safe to leave the bathroom. She had asked me if we had any animals. I was like...what do you mean? Like wild animals? She said, no dogs, cats. etc.
And I say..well I just got a hamster. haha I still had no idea why she asked. And then she laughs and says..I think the two officers can handle a hamster. LOL

Turns out the owner of the house had called a roofing company to get an estimate WITHOUT telling us! He apologized and said that they weren't supposed to just come out on their own without an appointment. Basically, I was super mad the whole day, then Minh came home (FINALLY). Overall...there are no perks in living in a house that's too big for you. You just flip out a lot easier. I think this experience confirms that I'm going to get at least two german shepherds when I move in 7 months. lol I'm so used to living in my 10x12 dorm room that having so much space really freaks me out, especially when there are no other people around most of the day...

Anyhow..Minh's back, he took me out to dinner (we need to stop eating out still, but it's been a few days since we saw each other).

We went out for crawfish in Chinatown Seattle. The crawfish wasn't any good. I did like the dozen oysters we had though. I'm a big raw oyster eater. I love going to the casino because they always have the oyster bar on seafood night. I still feel like my stomach is burning from the cajun spices.

  1. I think it looks cute! You always look cute and you look like a doll natural, you sexy beast!

I know what you mean with the whole "I forgot how to apply makeup" thing. I havent been wearing it much...it's faster to go places lol, and when I try to do LOTD's or just play around with it....I FAIL. Then I want to cry.

O M G! That is so scary...that man should not have walked into your house with you knowing. These maintenance people think they can do whatever they want sometimes. WTF!

  3. Yes that is scary! And shame on the owner for not telling you guys. Even if the roofers came w/o an appt the owner still should let you guys know before hand! Thank goodness that you're safe and it was alright!! LOL hamster! Winkie would've given them cops hell! ;)

Love the doll eye look. See this is why you're FIIIIINNNEE!!!

  4. I LOVE the EOTD!! You need regular sleep, hun!!

I am so sorry about the roofer incident!! It's much worse rambling around a house that's not yours. You're right, you live in a nice neighborhood, and shouldn't have to encounter scares like this!!

Do you have an alarm system with a panic button? I also keep the doors and windows locked when Jamal is gone.

    Take care!

  6. I hope you gave your landlord a piece of your mind! A big, ugly, I'm gonna punch you piece! I would have totally been freaking out - sometimes I just hate people and how dumb they can be.

Also I really like your doll look too! Though I feel you on how liquid eyeliner on the lower lash line can be a little harsh for day. It never works for me no matter who I try!

  8. At least you have a bathroom to hide in.... all I have is my tiny room and the closet now. HAHAHAHA. and awwww. They should of let you know ahead of time! I would of been scared if someone just randomly comes in like that -___- I understand how you feel.... beat Minh up! I would. LOL. I think it's time to make Minh get you a dog! You're home most of the time anyways so you'll be able to take care of a dog... right? =] Your eye is so cute! It looks like a doll's eyes! lol.

  14. omigod. i'm glad it wasn't an intruder. when my mom and i moved into this bigger house we had an alarm put in. one night my boyfriend left right before midnight. i went to my room and was about to fall asleep. all of a sudden the alarm goes off. i freaked out so bad. i ran into my mom's room and locked the door. i looked out the window and saw that the side sensor flood light was on, and a pickup truck was outside of my house going really slow and all of sudden turned on its headlights and drove off. coincidence? the police came and couldn't find any forced entry. we left it at that the alarm may have malfunctioned. i remember grabbing a hammer (i dunno y we had one lying around) and going downstairs to open the door for the police. hahaha. i've gotten a lil braver, but i still freak out. <3 Rina

  17. My house is really big and it does get creepy at night! My boyfriend hates sleeping over cause he always gets creeped out.

But I think I'm so use to living in a big house that living in a smaller house would make me feel totally cramped.

That sucks about the truck though! The owner should had at least just quickly mentioned it just because!

  18. well, for me I used to leave in a huge house with my parents & every 3 months they would stay in the farm & leave me in the house with the housemaids & bunch of dogs..hehe...so I got used to it...but once our gate was accidentally left open & this crazy guy just entered....and we all freaked out...it was so funny....but the landlord should have called you before sending someone...BTW,the hamster part was funny....

  19. omg I'd be totally freaked out when there's footsteps on my roof and I'm home alone! A few days ago I just saw Paranormal Activity and freaked out by it, now I have to sleep with the lights on LOL not even joking! I don't even know why i do these things considering I pretty much live by myself...

  22. you have beautiful eyes stephanie. :) you must have been terrified being at home alone & hearing those noises! i know the feeling, cos i've been living in a small apartment & recently moved to a house, & my partner isn't always home, so it's a little bit scary when you hear unfamiliar noises. >.<
