How to Date a Lawyer by Avvo

  1. hahaha!! my really good friend is dating a L1 student right now and he seemed really nice. My bf is an engineer and I'm a chemist so we often argue which occupation is more important. Engineers are stuck up sometimes hahaha (not in a bad way) saying that they make things go around. hahah literally since my bf is in car industry now. But w/o chemists u wouldn't have medicine or cure to illness (one of my professor is famous for his study in anthrax antibody). Oh and also engineers hate asking for directions b/c of their high ego thinking they can figure anything out...or that is just being a man.

  2. Omg, this post is too funny and fun to read! Too bad I'm dating a soon to be financial analyst so I'm not sure how that's going to work out. Its annoying when all he talks about is bonds, markets, etc meanwhile he has no clue when I spit out my nursing stuff. haha

  5. Power trip? Me? Nah...although you're right a TON of law students, attorneys, and judges seem to think they are THE sh--otglass.

    I'm dating an...er, entrepreneur/workaholic.

Here's ONE thing I hate: they are always on their Blackberry and always busy and ALWAYS have someone on the phone.

  8. Ahh, I don't think I have it in me to date a lawyer. XD Plus, I think I'm wayyyy too young to be looking for a lawyer too. More into the artsy kind of people. Like band people. LOL. But daaang. Dating a lawyer would be hard work. D: I can't handle someone that thought that they were always right and better than me. I'd freak out on them. HAHA.

But, I think I like your input on the article better than the article itself. LOL.

  10. I wouldn't ever be able to handle that type of pressure!

My boyfriend is a Computer Engineer and sometimes he goes on these wild conversations of God knows what about CPU systems and etc. Then again I probably bore the living crap out of him talking about furniture.

But, dang- your spouse is a lawyer. At least you know you won't have to hire anyone for legal help.

    Miss. P

  11. HA reading this made my day! The whole thing is so true!!! I really hate arguing with my BF (who is a law student) because I know I'll ultimately end up super frustrated and he'll be all satisfied with himself for winning our argument. I do find that writing him letters or emails works best when I'm really and truly mad about something. It is waaay more effective than talking/arguing with him about it. ...and I *hate* when I try to tell him something that I think is cool or interesting and he doubts it. Like, can you give me your list of source citations, HT?? hahah

PS. I looooooove those beige Louboutin pumps... *drool*
