I had lunch with Minh and 2 attorney friends (one of which is Single, Viet-American, 30, around 5'10(?)..and just moved to West Seattle..he's looking for a gf > wifey...and I'm on a mission to help! p.s. Kelly..you got any single girlfriends who still live here?) of his earlier today at CPK (California Pizza Kitchen) inside Northgate Mall (Seattle). Earlier while they were at the T-mobile store, I stopped by the tart yogurt stand and strolled my way into the doors of Nordstrom.I was on a mission to get this MBMJ watch.
I was casually online shopping last night for a Marc by Marc Jacob's jumbo clutch...and some how.. Bloomingdale's.com lead me to this beautiful white ceramic watch.
At Northgate Nordstrom the sales girl told me that they just got it in last week to their store.
I purchased it on my MOD card, then wore it out the store to show Minh. As I was sharing my latest, I noticed two minor dents/scratches (surprise, surprise it was the display) on the metal part of the face. I was a bit sad, so I went back to exchange, but I had the last one. She offered to order it online for me, but I just decided to go buy it again when I got home to downtown.
I'm not sure how long it's been out, but it was also sold out at the flagship Nordstrom near my place. I ended up ordering it through the dt Nordy's, but I'd have to bring it back to get resized. They took 2 links off for me, and that fit really nicely.
Overall, I'm very very happy with my new watch : )

Well..this one is 100 times better! It's ceramic! I love the feel of the quality, and the perfection of the beautiful glossy white ceramic : ) I actually might return my MK watch. I was just so desperate to buy something from Nordy's anniversary sale lol. I scored the $195 MK watch for $129+tax. Actually, I keep looking at my MK and I still really really like it. I'm going to keep it : ) I got a good deal on it too.

but the face plate was way smaller. This one is HUGE in real life. its like the size of a fist! They also had a white leather one but wit gold lettering that I loved. =(
But ever since then, the watch you got has been on my wish list. lucky you! i hope you do an update a few weeks from now on how well it lasts. I heard the color of some of the Michael Kors watches comes off in just a few days!

Chanel sunglasses are so adorable. Too bad my company wasn't eligible for it because we're also a "medical" building. We have to be straight up, "boutique" to carry Chanel. ReplyDeleteget the gold get the gold! i used to not be a major gold jewelry person but do you watch the Rachel Zoe Project? Taylor (who's no longer on the show) always wore a gold rolex and a whole bunch of gold bracelets and they were just so pretty altogether. Lorraine from the Current Custom started doing the same and its just so classy and chic.
do you still have those gold chanel Baguet earrings? i think the gold MJ watch would match nicely with those! =D
seriously though, I feel like white watches and gold watches will never go out of style. the gold rolex has been "in" for more than 20+ years. so I think the gold MJ watch is a good investment. you get the feel and look but without the hefty price tag! plus, I like that Marc Jacobs takes a style but makes it his own. Like the watch you bought, so many brands (MK, Juicy, etc) sort of look similar to each other but Marc Jacobs stands out in a nice way.
you should just keep the MK since you got it for such a good deal as long as you don't mind having 2 white watches.
oh and to answer your question: your MJ watch came out pretty recently. i think maybe even this summer?

Marc Jacobs is one of my favorite designers, Marc Miss Her line is so pretty. Your watch is very nice. But if I had to choose I would stay with mother of pearl in Michael Kors. Sorry
