Why hello ladies! I hope everyone is enjoying their August. : )
I've spent the past 5 days spending time with two of my Aunts (my Mom's sisters), and my little 12 year old cousin Thien aka Thieny. They were visiting Washington for the first time from California. We had amazing weather the whole time they were here, and we all had a lot of fun! I'm glad they got a great impression of Seattle. Before they booked their trip, they asked me if they should pack umbrellas. Hahaha! I assured them that it doesn't rain too often in the Summer here. : )
It was also the first time they all met Minh! They really like him which makes me happy. ^_^ I'm sure they liked him extra because he's fluent in Vietnamese.
My Aunt says it's rare to find a Vietnamese man who is smart, kind, and funny. One of my Aunts said usually you get kind, but not fun ~ or smart, but not kind. LOL. I love her sense of humor, and "bluntness." Both of my Aunts are just like my Mom.
They were a bit overwhelmed by my dogs! They didn't realize how much love doggies had to give to new friends. They never really have been around dogs 24/7 so it was a really new experience for all 3 of them. : ) My Aunt Di was like..why did you name a boy dog Nicole? (I guess Nickel sounds like Nicole to Viet people!) Isn't that a girl's name? Lol, I had to explain to her that his name is Nickel and his sister is Penny like money! Back when I was little, my sister and I had a hamster name Nibbles..and after Nibbles passed away our Dad asked us why we named our hamster Nipples. ROFL Lost in translation moments. Haha I love it!
I forgot how fun and comforting it was to be around family. : ) Just like me, they love to real-estalk! We spent 4 hours two days in a row house hunting. They both gave me brilliant advice on finances, and tips on saving money. :D I'm super happy they came to visit!
My Aunts stayed at our place so they spent a lot of time in my room. They were looking at all my makeup and they were really attracted to the Japanese makeup that I had in my collection. I don't think they've ever seen such cute package or such shimmery eyeshadows. lol
One of my new favorite eyeshadow palettes is by Majolica Majorca (I think they're owned by Shiseido, but don't quote me!) and the palette is called the Majolook BR799. It's very hard for me to get my hands on Asian makeup so when I get something it's a really big treat. : ) My friend Lara from Malta sent me the sweetest care package not too long ago and included this gorgeous shadow palette. Thank you again Lara!
Lara recently got married so I just want to give her a big congratulations shout out! :D

The base of the packaging is a light shimmery pearl-gold. You have to admit..it's a pretty cute palette!
I truly feel that Japanese cosmetic brands make the most unique shimmer eyeshadows. I haven't been able to find anything in the US that compares with palettes such as this one.

The light golden tan, and the shimmery beige are both super creamy powder shadows.
The brown is a tad bit more chalky, but it's great for the outer corners of the lower lash line. :)

I cannot thank you enough for picking out this neutral eyeshadow palette for me Lara!
I love it!
Have any of you tried Majolica Majorca makeup?
I will post an 'Eyes of the Day' (EOTD) with this eyeshadow palette soon. : )
I also have a new pair of Hana 30 Days Iceye Brown circle lenses to share with you too. I've been testing them out and wearing them all week. They're the most comfortable, and most natural brown pair of lenses I've tried yet. I'll share more with you next post. Thanks for visiting everyone! -Steph :D

This is why I like reading blogs (and the internet in general). I always find something that I've never heard of before. =)
