Autumn EOTD: MAC Athma Eyeshadow Quad

I'm loving the Athma Quad for Fall!
Read more about this quad on Temptalia
 MAC Athma Quad
Jaan, Folie, Vivah, Carbon
I applied the colors lightest to darkest, and I used Carbon to set my black gel liner.
Ardell Demi Pixies Black False Lashes
These weren't my favorite, but it's always fun to try something different. I call these the "mean looking" lashes because it just gives you a more vampy look.
I like more natural looking long lashes (Ardell Wispies), and the Adrell Demi Pixies look too artificial because of the clusters.
Fill in your eyebrows. It makes a HUGE difference!
I use the Anastasia Perfect Brow Pencil in the shade Medium Ash.
Very vampire-esque huh?! I'm just missing some red contact lenses.
Athma eyeshadows with no mascara or false lashes.
Lenses are the Shinny Grey from this post. They're very comfortable, I've been wearing for the past couple weeks.
Autumn eyes ;)

Check out my blog sale if you haven't already! I updated it with a few MAC eyeshadow quads.

Eyes: Ardell Wispies

Ardell 'Wispies' false lashes really helps glam up the eyes.
Remember to cut your falsies to fit your eyes!  If they're too long they don't help open up your eyes, they actually make them look more droopy and closed off...and we don't want that look.

This is my eye makeup for a friend's wedding this past Saturday.
MUFE White eyeliner pencil in the inner corners.
L'Oreal Voluminous Black Mascara
MUFE Black Gel Eyeliner
Lancome Art Liner Black
Urban Decay Naked Palette Eyeshadows: Virgin, Naked, Gunmetal
Urban Decay Naked2 Palette Eyeshadows: Pistol, Tease

I really like the UD Naked Palettes because all the eye shadows are so easy to blend.
They make great gifts for your girlfriends too, super easy to wrap!

EOTD: KATE Select Eye Colors 01

Good morning, good morningggggg!
I am enjoying my makeup routine with these lash extensions!
It was so fast I had extra time in my morning to snap a few photos to share. :D
I just dusted my eyes with a few soft eye shadows and I'm pretty much done. : )
I also quickly rimmed my waterline with my favorite Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes 01 Pencil.
I didn't apply mascara to the lower lashes.
This fabulous KATE Select Eye Colors 01 palette was a gift from my friend Lara! Thank you Lara! She always spoils me with fun Asian makeup. :-)
This palette is everything you would need for a neutral look!
I don't know too much about the KATE brand, but I do know I love their eyeshadows.
I never have any issues with eye shadow fall out.
The simple look with flash! I love how the lashes are long enough where I don't need to line my eyes to look alive!! haha
I'll post more FOTD (Face of the Day) soon!!

I need to go do my hair and then I'm off to explore Pike Place Market with the best friend forever bf!

Have a fantastic start to your weekend everyone!!

Quick Weekend EOTD

EOTD (Eye of the Day): Bright Blue Eyeliner following my girl Chelsea's (xclosetoreal) tutorial. :)
I used what I had and tried my best to recreate her fun eye look this morning.

I used:

Two of the brown shadows from the Chanel #81 Shimmering Dunes
Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadow Quad

Lancome Artliner Liquid Eyeliner in Black

Make Up Forever Smoky Lash Mascara

Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes #3L

"Alice" eyeshadow from the Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland palette

"Haight" eyeshadow from the Urban Decay NYC palette

Darkness (Korean Brand) Demi Lashes

Circle Lenses are the Hana Iceye Brown (They're incredibly comfortable!)
However, I do need to get an updated eye exam and order new normal contacts. I miss seeing my natural eyes.

I want to get back into posting EOTD & FOTD. What do you think?
There's nothing like showing my grandkids all my makeup looks one day. lol
B&W

There are currently 5 doggies at our place! 3 of them in bed with me right now. lol Minh's family is in town visiting his cousin's new baby and half of them are staying with us for the night. It's a fun feeling being surrounded by the warmth of family. I'm glad they're all dog people! Timmy and Wally are having a blast with their cousins! :D

EOTD: MAC Prussian Eyeliner

Photos of my dogs taken from earlier this week. :D

Nickel!
Timmy!
Wally!

I thought this photo was a funny one :D
Wally's fur is growing out so cute!

MAC Prussian Eyeliner
MUFE 14L White Pearl Eye Liner
MUFE Smoky Lash Mascara
(No eyes hadow base, no eye shadows)

I wanted to try MAC Prussian (blue) eyeliner on it's own to compare it with MUFE 3L.
Prussian is a lot less shimmery. It's more of a blue black. I think it's also more wearable since it's closer to the normal black eyeliner.

I didn't get a chance to snap that many photos, and the lighting was really bad yesterday.
I'll probably try again this coming week with MAC Prussian Eyeliner.

Minh and I walked around Green Lake for the first time together. I believe it was 3 miles around the lake. There were hundreds of people out! Summer is finally here in Seattle. : )
Yesterday, we hiked part of Cougar Mountain .. and then checked out a garage sale! lol
I'll share my garage sale "haul" this coming week as well. :D I only spent $11!

EOTD: More Blue Eyeliner!

This is a brighter blue eyeliner look compared to yesterday's EOTD. : )
I told you I found some of my blue eyeliners!
Special thanks to bf for taking these photos for me. The lighting was coming in super bright and I knew it would be the best light to show off the eyeliner colors. :)
I really need to switch up my contacts! I've been wearing these for weeks.
Squinty eye!
You can really see the scar near my tear duct. My lil sister hit me with a wire hanger when she was 2 or 3 years old. lol Her bad!
I really like MAC's Power Point Eye Pencils.
I often use their black eyeliner in Feline and Engraved (although they don't do that fantastic on the waterline unless you set it with black eye shadow).
MUFE 14L (White Pearl) eyeliner
MAC Light As Air (the perfect periwinkle blue)
MAC Prussian (very close to MUFE 3L)
I also picked up the new press powder/foundation from MAC. I really like it!

The MUFE pencil sharpener came with my MUFE kit. : )

I lined my eyes with Prussian blue first kind of as a base, then I applied the Light As Air, and 14L White Pearl liner.

I think I'm going to play with my purple eyeliners next. : )

Have a great Saturday everyone!

Make Up For Ever Copper Star Powder

I tried out the Make Up For Ever Star Powder over the weekend. I have two of these babies, this one in Copper, and I also have the White/Orange. They both came with my MUFE kit so I really didn't get to pick out the colors myself.

They are eye shadow pigments very much like the ones by MAC. I believe they're around the same price point as MAC's pigments.
MUFE Star Powder #922 in Copper

The packaging is really nice! I like this style of container for pigment shadows over the MAC.
You can apply this dry or wet. It applies effortless dry. You barely have to touch the product to get some intense eyeshadow!
The packaging makes it more user friendly. You don't have to worry as much about accidentally dropping and spilling your entire jar of pigment ..cough cough..like the MAC pigments jars :/. These also look a lot more professional than the oddly shaped MAC pigment jars.
MUFE Star Powder #922 in Copper
I used it once yesterday for this EOTD, it's pretty much brand new.
The color is beautiful itself, but it's a bit too coppery orange, and metallic for me so I'm letting it go for $9 (sold, thank you K!). If you like bold makeup, I really recommend this Copper MUFE Star Powder pigment.

You can find it at Sephora in an array of colors. They retail for $19 (about the same as MAC pigments).
Overall ~ great product, even better packaging. : )
I'll try out my Star Powder in #940 sometime this week and let you know how I like it and post a picture.

Warning: massive eye close up pic!
(I applied this dry, imagine how vibrant it would look if I were to have applied it wet.) ^_^

I was really lazy with my makeup this weekend, but I still wanted to try out this product.
My original intent was to just use it on my lower lash line, but I had extra product on my brush and I went a little crazy on the lids (it was just overly metallic!). I did use MAC's Cork eyeshadow on the outer corners to tone down the copper. I went pretty light on the eyeliner (NARS Black Moon)..and also decided not to wing out my eyeliner. I also do not have a respectable eyelash curler currently because my Tarte lash curler broke! I was using it and it just fell apart. lol DANGER much?! I wish Shu Uemura was still around, I'd love to get a new lash curler by them.

I think this eye look would look much better if I went heavier on the black eyeliner, and applied false lashes. False lashes would have made the look, but I failed.

I also failed in the cell phone owner department. I was walking through Walgreens with Minh and I dropped my relatively new, and beautiful white Blackberry Bold right on it's back. It stays frozen now on one screen when it's on. : (
That's what I get for not carrying a purse. I've been anti-carrying a purse lately (for some odd reason). I blame myself. RIP my beautiful white Blackberry Bold.

Minh keeps telling me to get an iPhone, but I really don't use my phone that much. My T-mobile 2 year contract ends on 9/28, but if I cancel now it only would cost me $50. I will just go back to using my old plain black Blackberry. My life must go on!

EOTD #2: Bobbi Brown Bronze Tortoise Shell Eyeshadow Palette

Check out my new framez & one inch thick lenses. 8)
Nail polish is OPI "Pink-ing of You."
I used Espresso as my eyeliner! It's a gorgeous shade for a softer lined eyes look.
Amber in the inner corners, Tiger's Eye on the lids, and Copper Cocoa mixed with a hint of Espresso for the crease (then blended out).

Tiger's Eye is my favorite from the bottom layer of shadows from the Bobbi Brown Tortoiseshell Bronze Palette. Espresso is a close second because of it's rich beautiful dark color. Amber is more glittery and sheer (it's there, but barely there, subtle kind of shimmer glitter shadow). They kind of drive me nuts because they're so hard to see!

I did bust out MAC's Naked Pigment to use as my highlight and to blend out the Cooper Cocao/Expresso shadows.

Eyes: Bobbi Brown Tortoise Shell Bronze (4 bottom layer shadows), MAC Zoom Lash Mascara, MUFE Aqua Eyes Black.
Lips: YSL #1 Rouge Volupte, MUFE 1C Lipliner
Cheeks: Cargo Matte Bronze, Paul & Joe Bambi Blush (Coral-pink), MAC Golden Nectar Highlight Powder.

I think falsies (false lashes) will really complete the look. I just haven't been able to find the pair I want to wear and just gave up. lol

My new Chanel glasses arrived a few weeks back but I haven't really been wearing them during the day. I had to go back to Lenscrafters two weeks ago to get them adjusted.
They have an interesting quilted pattern in the sparkly grey frames.
They fit so much better than my previous Tory Burch pair. I also like that these are "Made in Italy." The TB's were made in China for the same price. Not that it really matters.. lol, but it is a mind trick!

I love the bow details on the side of the frames. I have a pair of Chanel sunglasses with the same bows in white. :)
My prescription is (-7.0, -7.0) and these frames don't make my thick lenses look crazy. lol
The worst is being a "four-eyed" girl with unflattering thick lenses (unless that's the look you were going for lol). I do still want a pair of Ray Bans. They're just so casual and fun.
Time for some doggie pics!
I shaved the dogs about a week and a half ago, lol they look so funny!
I even shaved Wally's tail because he gets so dirty when we go to the dog park. he goes into the lake sometimes to fetch his tennis ball.
The boys have taken over my couch cushion for good!
Last but not least, Nickel Tran!
Nickel napping in his luxurious Costco Kirkland Signature doggie bed lol.

In random sale news...

I can believe these went on sale! What a good deal for those in the market for a classic nude pair of CL's. It's SO hard to snag a pair of Louboutins on sale at Barneys.com. I've ordered 2 pairs in the past..and a few days later they'd e-mail saying my size was out of stock. It's a really sad e-mail to get! lol Anyone who shops Barney's sales knows what I'm talking about!

Have a great Friday night everyone!
Minh and I are starting Beastly. It looks like the modern day version of Beauty & The Beast except more dramatic and scary!!
